About Us
I first learned to crochet in elementary school when my Aunt Luz taught me the basics. One of my earliest memories is making a blue three-tone chevron blanket. As the years passed, I set crochet aside — until 2014, when I rediscovered the joy and peace it brings me.
While working at a Montessori school, I lovingly created hats, scarves, blankets, dolls, and special handmade gifts for children, family, and friends. Crochet quickly became more than a hobby — it became my passion and a source of comfort and happiness.
The name Hookhumm holds special meaning. “Hook” represents the crochet hook that brings each creation to life, and “Humm” reflects my deep love for hummingbirds. During an important move in my life, hummingbirds appeared again and again, bringing peace and reassurance and reminding me that God places us exactly where we are meant to be.
That inspiration lives in every piece I make.
Each creation is handmade with love, purpose, and heart in every stitch.
